Vi accumulates processes

It appears that vi (Sys V.3.1, '386) doesn't reap processes. The
problem is that using ! (eg, for reformatting a paragraph) alot will
fill up the process table and you will lose the paragraph you are working
on. Notice the <defunct> from reformatting this paragraph.
