strange bug in vi

One of my macros produces a strange effect:

map v ocat $HOME/.sig*^[!!sh^Mjj

If used on last line in file and last line occurs in upper half of
screen,  then the top lines of the screen are copied after the lines
of day piped into the file.  They aren't in the file.  The disappear
after any : command,  even a null one,  but are reproduced if a ^L
command is issued.
