C language book recommendations

   Well, K&R is OK ... It virtually ignores
   most of the .h files, and gives almost no information on the use of the
   myriad functions provided in them.  

Harbison & Steele's "C Reference Manual" has a good discussion of the
standard (ANSI C) libraries.
