Clearly, the Telebit 'g' spoof works well for us now. Philosophically,
though, it bothers me that we have an OS as vendor-independent as UNIX,
yet we are so dependent on Telebit. Ideally, other equipment should be
so friendly to UUCP as TBs, but in the two years since the 'g' spoof
came out, no company has followed Telebit's lead. Maybe this isn't
anything to worry about.

What do other people see in the future? Will we all be plugged into
ISDN or some "real" network, and if so, will UUCP have a place in such
an environment? If this future doesn't happen, are we to expect a
post-Telebit dialup strategy to meet our UUCP needs ten years from now?
