Tool to capture UNIX Interactive Session Wanted

In recent correspondence in net.sources the 'script(1)' tool was
suggested as a way to capture interactive sessions.
Unfortunately it captures only characters output to the terminal,
and fails to capture the input keystrokes when the terminal is
in noecho (e.g. when executing `vi').
  One must modify script (quite a simple fix, I just don't have
room here in the margin :-) but I have done it myself) if you
want to capture both sides of an interactive session.
(No I cannot post my mods, there's a licensing problem)
