This is actually incorrect with regards to the 500 series (unless HP
has introduced 6.0 within the past 5 days for the 500's). The 500-series
version of HP-UX is up to 5.2, and is slated to remain there forever (due to
HP dropping the 500-series from their product line -- they have promised to
fix HP-UX 5.2, but after that, no more).

Also, the 500-series is NOT based on the MC680X0 architecture. It
uses a proprietary HP chip (not the SPECTRUM series chip -- something different
whose model number I can't remember at present).

Just trying to clear things up.
