Well, I see it in the README, but not anywhere in part 1 of the posting.
Anyway, it's a single line at the beginning of the README, and we eager
beaver vi diehards who are forced to VMS evidently go right past the
1-line notice to the installation instructions, even on multiple re-readings.
So, take this as a plea to hit us over the head with the prerequisites
or whatever.

Probably not much earlier.  It don't work on VMS 4.5 (as I discovered from
personal experience).
