Other 9600bps + modems?

I was just wondering how different modems for >2400bps speeds compared
to the Telebit Trailblazer.  I'd be particularly interested in 9600, or
better, 1800-19.2K, but all information is welcome.  How do they fare,
especially, with bad phone lines.  Mine are terrible, BTW.  I plan on
using it on the UNIX-PC (3B1).  Thanks in....  on second thought, I'll
just wait.
