A question about 3b1s and ATs

AT&T *used* to offer a maintenence contract for ~$50/mo, or somewhere
around that figure.  At $600/yr, you could just buy a *second* 7300
for parts/backing up.

No IBM machine runs OS-9, which is neck-n-neck with UNIX for usefullness
and well above messy dos os/blew-it.  :-P

Depends on what you want to di with it.  A loaded (67Mb HD, 2Mb RAM) 3b1
w/ new software can be had for ~$1300 used, a little more than that new.
You get a *real* C compiler from A&TT and multitasking with UNIX.

If you just want a UNIX box, and have a real amount of money to spend,
buy a '386 or 680{2|3}0 box and drive on.  Pass the 3b1s and ATs
on the wayside.
