720k 3.5" on PC6300?

I have an old PC6300 with the 1.43 ROMs.  It currently has two 5" 360k
drives, but I want to replace one of them with a 3.5" 720k drive.  If
I make *both* drives 720k, I can flip a dipswitch on the motherboard
and all is supposed to work well.  I just one *one* of them to be
720k.  Can anyone offer any advice on this?
