NNSTAT problems under SUNOS 4.0

I tried executing the following on a 3/260 running SUNOS 4.0:

	statspy parm.simple

I got the message "nit socket: Protocol not supported".

The NNSTAT I have is from the os-cisu archives.  Is it supposed to run
under SUNOS 4.0 or is there something I'm missing.  I would greatly
appreciate any help I can get.
