Problem sending mail over uucp with SunOS 4.0

Really?  It sure doesn't do that here, and we're running vanilla SunOS
4.0.3.  It quite cheerfully queues stuff in the "C." and "D." directories.
What's more, it did so all the 3.5 years I was at Sun, as well.  Are you
certain you don't have some Mutant UUX From Hell running?
