4.0.3 nfs patch + prestoserve?

Anyone had this problem and found out what to do about it?

System: 4/280, 4.0.3, with PrestoServe board & software from Legato added
(has been running fine for months).  After the 4.0.3 "jumbo NFS patch" is
applied to this system, all of its clients (sun3 & sun4c architectures)
refuse to boot.  Boot quits with message "Boot: bad dialog with bootparam
server (error 0x4)".  Don't know for certain that the problem is an
interaction between PrestoServe and the Sun patch, but strongly suspect
it.

fix ...
