For those who don't know there is a limitation in 4.0.3 and I'm told also
in 4.1, that limits the maximum size of a partition on a SCSI disk to
<1Gbyte. Actually you can partition disks, create file systems larger than
1Gbyte and it even works, well almost. It works MOST of the time!!!!
apparently when you try to access some of the partition past the 1Gbyte
range the result of the operation is undefined. Guess who found this out
the hard way 8-(.

Anyhow, after talking to Sun a couple of times they pointed out the error
and also informed me that this is fixed in 4.1.1 Well almost, aparently
the format command causes some problems when trying to analyze partitions
larger than 1Gbyte. I just received a patch from sun to fix this, it's a
patch which "fix's" the kernel. Has anyone else come across this problem?
And more importantly has anyone had success getting 1Gbyte partitions
working in 4.1.1 with or without suns patch.
