Updated SPARC sound utilities?

Has anyone updated the various sound tools that came out during the first
year of SPARCs to use the newer SunOS 4.0-ish sound formats?  For instance
there was a set of tools called SST, as well as saytime.  I am also
curious whether there are other sound related tools out there.
