Linking a Mac Se/30 to a Sun 3/80 via ethernet

I'm trying to link a Se/30 to a Sun 3/80, but the Sun does not have a
small ethernet port like the Mac Ethernet card.  Somebody told me that I
have to purchase a 'tranceiver' to convert the 'big' cable to the 'small'.
