You might want to try implementing redirects, as found in Intel's
OpenNET for System V. Basically, before namei gets cracking on a file name
it's compared against a list of prefixes. If it's found, that part of the
filename is replaced by the redirected text. I don't know how they do this
as a driver, but it's all handled by nfa/Driver.o.
