reading u blocks

Could someone let me know how to read u-blocks on RT AIX 2.1?

I have tried seeking into /dev/mem from the address obtained
from the proc structure -> p_uptr. This always yields the
same result, my *current* processes u block. Do I have to
grovel through the segment table? Is there an easy way such
as a system call (like sysi86(RDUBLK) on 386/ix)? There must
be some way..... ps works!

Thanks in advance,
