The Cornell Theory Center's Cornell National Supercomputer
Facility will hold three identical workshops, for both new users
and for users migrating from CMS to AIX, on these dates:

        Workshop 1: May 29-31, 1991
        Workshop 2: June 10-12, 1991
        Workshop 3: June 17-19, 1991

The workshops will be conducted on the CNSF's two IBM ES/3090
600J supercomputers with vector facilities and large virtual
memory.  They will be held in the Training Facility on the fourth
floor of the Engineering and Theory Center Building on Hoy Road
on the Cornell Campus.

The workshops will each cover the topics listed in the chart
below.  Experienced UNIX users may choose not to attend the first
morning session, which will be a general introduction to the
operating system.

ACCOMMODATIONS:

The following accommodations are within a few miles of the CNSF
Training Facility and many restaurants and shops.  The first two
provide courtesy airport limousine service.  Attendees are
responsible for their own reservations, and for meals.  Paid
parking is available on campus.

Best Western University Inn
Located at East Hill Plaza (just off campus), at the intersection
of Rt. 393 and Judd Falls Road in Ithaca, 607-272-6100.  Shuttle
and bus service is available.  $40-$50 per night.  Blocks of
rooms have been reserved for these workshops.

Holiday Inn
Located at 2310 North Triphammer Road in Ithaca, 607-257-3100,
$56-$66 per night.  Shuttle service to Cornell is available.

On-Campus Housing
Cornell University dormitory rooms are available for June
workshops only.  $15-$18 per night.  Contact Donna Smith by May 10
(see registration form for address and phone).

TO APPLY:

Due to restricted space, registration for this workshop is
limited.  Preference will be given to those users who have
already received an allocation at the CNSF.  To apply, please
return the completed registration form along with payment by
April 22, 1991.  Applications will be accepted after this date
only if there are still openings.  This fee includes all workshop
materials.  Local users can provide a Cornell University account
number that can be charged.

Payment scale, payable to Cornell University:
          Academic participants:  $60.
          Corporate Research Institute Members:  $100.
          Other Corporations: $150.

Applicants should receive notification by May 6, 1991.
