A2000&Unix

Ok...I own basically a stock A2000 (the only hardware change is the 1
meg Agnus, and extra drive).  What would I need to run unix on my
computer, without any serious flaws?  This is mostly a long-term
question, since I won't be able to afford it anyways for a while, but
what I'm really interested in is whether or not my 2000 is going to be
able keep up with the 3000.  Is it in my interests to slowly build my
2000 over the next few years, or should I just wait until I can afford a
3000?
