A3000UX to SUN questions

If I want to download some files from a SUN system at school via my A3000UX
what should I use.  I have tried Kermit and can't get it to work.  I would
like to get the source to SZ/RZ but I would still need some way to dial the
modem.  Does anyone have any suggestions?
