Internationalization under Apple's A/UX 2.0

I understand that A/UX 2.0 has 8-bit internationalization built in,
including support for a number of different languages (I believe that
the press release refers to 20 different European languages). The
question I have is: is this internationalization based on AT&T's
Multi-National Language Support (MNLS), now a part of System V.4, or
is it based on HP's Native Language System (NLS) package, or, worst
choice of all, is it a new and different implementation completely?

Thanks for any light you can shed on this question.
