[I believe this article didn't make it out the first time; excuse the
 duplication if it did...]

g++ 1.39.0 and libg++-1.37.2 for A/UX are now available from
wuarchive.wustl.edu. This version of g++ seems to be quite stable
and a great improvement from 1.37.2-. In addition, the patches for
libg++ have been significantly improved; libg++ 1.37.2 now compiles
and passes all the tests (except for a problem with curses which
isn't the compiler's fault and a math precision difference in the
random number generation test).

Note that any of you who have picked up g++-1.37.2- pre-test
versions of g++ are expected to delete them and upgrade to g++ 1.39.0
as soon as possible. There's nothing to force you to do this, of
course, but it's both 1) a good idea and 2) FSF policy that pre-test
versions should go away as soon as the next major release comes out.

Distribution: The following files should be available on wuarchive.wustl.edu
in the systems/aux directory (/archive/systems/aux for those NFS mounting
wuarchive):
g++-1.39.0.bin.tar.Z		Binaries for g++-1.39.0 on A/UX 2.0.
g++-1.39.0.aux.diffs		Patches for g++-1.39.0 supporting A/UX.
                                        These should not break support
                                        for any other machine.
g++-1.39.0.patches		Some miscellaneous machine-independent
					bug fixes for g++ 1.39.0
g++-1.39.0.aux.tar.Z Sources for g++-1.39.0 with the above
					diffs and patches applied.
libg++-1.37.2.bin.tar.Z Binaries and include files for libg++
					1.37.2 on A/UX 2.0.
libg++-1.37.2.aux.diffs		Patches for libg++-1.37.2 supporting A/UX.
                                        These should not break support
                                        for any other machine.
libg++-1.37.2.aux.tar.Z Sources for libg++-1.37.2 with the above
					diffs applied.

As with gcc, it should be possible to install g++ in either /usr/local/Gnu
or /usr/local/{bin,lib}. There are README files for both packages on
wuarchive giving installation instructions and other notes.
