scrambled CLUT

When I move the cursor to the lower right corner of my 1024 x 768 screen,
something happens to the color lookup table, the most obvious result of
which is that all white screen areas turn red.  What is happening????

This is with AUX 2.0 on a MacIIx with Spectrum 8/II video set to 256 colors.
