Help! I've been trying to get Emacs compiled and running on my MacIIfx with
the info I obtained on the net and have been totally unsuccessful. I'm running
A/UX 2.0. Here is a little history...

I started with the Emacs-18.55 distribution from wuarchive. I then added the
Emacs-18.55.aux.tar.Z patches to this distribution and attempted to compile
using the supplied gcc with gcc-1.37.aux.bin.Z. I was getting "Statement/Op-
erand Mismatch" errors. I then saw a posting saying this was a compiler error
and that there was a fixed gcc. I got the "fixed" gcc and tried re-compiling.
EVERYTHING was blowing up left and right!! I was tracing down include file
inconsistencies, etc. At this point I gave up, but have not seen more recent
exploits of anyone that has been successful at building and using the latest
version of Emacs. Please, if someone out there has the info and/or correct
patched files to allow me to compile and, yes, actually use Emacs, I would be
most happy. Any info will probably help. Thanks in advance. You may reach me
via the e-mail address listed below.
