My recollection is this syntax has remained unchanged since
my first encounter with V6 in the 1970's. (The standard
document page on it has been lamentable for all that time.)

Anyone unfamiliar with MKFS -- but whose system HAS it --
should not be wasting folks' time with technical "answers"
to system issues. A good rule is to limit postings until
you're at a level where sharp people come to you for answers.

	No flames here -- I'm trigger-happy on the 'N' key !-)
Condolences to those who can't identify 'N'-mail, and waste
	their resources following it.
