strings program

[Mr. D. Chakravarty]

Would anybody happen to have the strings utility for System V ?
A while back an article in Unix Review or Unix Today had published
a sh script which essentially was equivalent to strings. I need 
the utility for ISC 386/ix system. Thanks in advance.
