"Smart Connex" SCSI Controller

I recently received the July "Rupp Technology" catalog, and featured on the
cover is a controller called "Smart Connex". It's by the DPT folks, and
purports to allow SCSI drives to be hooked up to a PC, *presenting the
"normal" WD1010 interface to the PC*. No need for Xenix x.y.zGT, etc.
They cost $330, add $35 if you want it to have a floppy controller, too.
It's got an onboard 68000, it looks like a 3/4 length board, and it says
here it's "guaranteed to work with all existing AT applications".

Anyone have one of these rascals? If so, howzit working? Transfer rates?
Problems? Do it put the seat down when it's done?
