AT&T 386 Open Look with ISC X server

Has anyone run Open Look clients on a AT&T 6386 with an X server from
ISC? I'm trying a variation of this and have had no luck. I have
installed AT&T's 386 Open Look under Interactive's UNIX System V/386.
I have also installed Interactive's X and their TCP/IP. Now, I'm trying
to run the Open Look clients with the ISC X server. All of the Open
Look clients complain that they cannot open the display.

Originally, it was guessed that the AT&T clients used a different
mechanism for UNIX domain connections than the ISC server, so I
installed TCP/IP to make the connections using that. The ISC X
clients run fine via TCP, but the AT&T clients still give me an
X Toolkit error, can't open display.

So, I'm wondering if anyone has been able to run 386 Open Look
clients remotely, which should be the same as running them on the
same host using the loopback TCP driver. I'm running AT&T Open Look
Release 1.0 (anyone know when the new release is due out?).

Any hints/ideas appreciated. As soon as I get SLIP running on our
Sun, I hope to try the Sun's Open Look clients with ISC's X server.

Thanks.
