porting Berkeley lpd code to sys V R3.2

I would very much like to hear from anyone who has experience
porting BSD code to system V/386. I'm trying to get lpd, lpr, lpq, et
al. to run on our Intel 301s, which run Intel (Lachman) TCP/IP.
The larger goal is to enable our Vax running WIN/TCP or MultiNet
to act as a print server for the 301s.
Do I have to get *all* the BSD libraries and what not, or is
there an easier way to map the bsd system calls into the sys V and
Lachman libraries?
How big a job is this?
