keyboard instead of mouse for X?

I saw mention of someone wanting to use the keyboard instead of using a
mouse to move the pointer on the 386 VGA server.  I was not aware that this
was possible, is it?  What is the option to specify to get this to work.
What keys make the pointer move, the arrow keys?  This would be very useful
to me as I have a bus mouse which is not supported.
