Just for comparisons:

UNIX: SunOS 3.5
X server:	MIT X11R4
Resolution:	1152x900x2 (black and white)
CPU: Sun 3/50 (16 MHz 68020 w/ 68881)

Time: 0:31

Looks like the Hercules is just overly slow - probably because nobody
has done any work on it. The Sun should be significantly slower than
the 33 MHz 386 machines - no graphics hardware in a Sun 3/50 either.
