ISC's support, serialization and price policy

Sorry if I post that to this group, but I don't know how to
tell this to ISC in another way. May be there is some sales
person listening (I don't want to blame the development
people at ISC, who are often a great help for end users like
me):

We just canceled or purchase order for upgradingf
to ver. 2.2, because we

1) don't like this serialization nuisance (also we have
leagal copies of ISC)
2) are very disappointed of ISC's new support policy.
Our main reason for buying ISC was the telefon support,
which for us is no longer available (we can not afford
a support contract and as for most of the people listening
to this group, we have much more knowlegde about ix/386
than our vendor has; going through him makes him crazy
and us too and it doesn't solve any of our problems).
3) An upgrade price of $800 for the systems doesn't seem
too much sense, if other companies sell their whole system
for that price (like ESIX).

We therefore will wait, if ISC changes the
policy, if not, we'll probably switch to ESIX. I hope,
that we don't face the same problem with them in a few month.
