I'm looking for a graphics solution to be used in Air Traffic Control
which will run on a 386/486 UNIX environment and which has decent speed
and resolution.

We need at least 1200x900 resolution in at least 16 colors. The board
most have a reasonable graphics engine, .i.e not VGA
It should also have some sort of programming library..it does
NOT need to support X-windows (in fact, for speed reasons, it might
be better to directly interface to the hardware).

For instance, ESIX rev D supports the Everex Ultragraphics card
which has a good graphics engine at 1660x1200 resolution. Trouble is,
it does not do color!

The Sun 386i doesn't work either...this has to run on a boxes that already
are in place.

Does anyone out there know of anything that will work. (We also perfer
UNIX environment over XENIX or AIX but will settle for those if all else
fails)
