Unix Today! (a free trade publication) had a full-page ad from some
internation Unix association last week. It was some hype about SYSV-R4,
and the background was all the companies that intended to have an R4
system out (I think it said within one year?)
In any event, this was the first substantiation (i.e. non-net-rumor)
I had heard, and I was excited.

I hope that ESIX isn't too far behind...if they follow their current
market strategy (i.e. a FULL BLOWN IMPLEMENTATION for HALF the cost
of everybody else), then I will wait for the ESIX R4. If I learn
that ESIX will take a year or two, I may buy their R3.
