long filenames and symbolic links under SCO UNIX?

Apropos long file names:  The Mar/Apr issue of diSCOver (pg 32) listed 
two patches which would alter the kernel so that long pathnames would be
truncated silently.  However the address given seems to be wrong and the
patch as printed does not work.  Can anyone supply the correct address?
