ESDI drive experience ?

Try the Maxtor 4380 ESDI drive with an Adaptek 2322B controller. The
4380 is fast, relatively quite (doesn't sound like a Geiger counter ala
the 1140) and works well with Unix. I posted a message describing the
setup of a Unix 3.2 system with the 4380/2322B a few weeks ago.
