How can I find out cc or cpp symbols?

Here's what I have... I call it 'whatdef':

	grep '^[_A-Za-z][_A-Za-z0-9]*$' |
	sort -u |
	awk '

			print "__" $0 "__ is defined"
			print "#endif"
		}
	' |
	/lib/cpp |
	sed -n 's/^__\(.*\)__ is defined$/\1/p'

I probably could have done the middle in sed, but I didn't feel like
hacking the backslashes and newlines.

Note the new address in the .sig....
