How to name tmpfiles?

I need to create temporary files which will automatically be deleted
when the process using it terminates.

However, the 'tmpfile' call creates a temporary file using a name generated by
tmpnam(3S).

Is there a way I can give my own names to such files (SunOS, SCO3.2)?

Please reply to me, as I have a feeling this is obvious, I just can't
find what I need...

Thanks,

Dag
