WD8013/8003 boards & SCO ODT

I tried a 8-bit WD8003EPR in a 486/25 clone; neither the diagnoistics nor
SCO ODT could use the board.  The same board works fine in a 286 AST PC.
I then tried a WD8013 in the same machine, I'm using rlogin from that
ODT box to compose this message.

I guess I'm happy, but I'd love to know why....

(WD 8013 board is set up at interrupt 2, 280 I/O, 16K memory (can't 
change that), memory at D0000.  netstat -i shows no errors, only
collisions.
