Need help with Roell X11R4

Hello,
I am having trouble getting the Roell X11R4 server running on
my system. When I try to start X, my screen blanks for a second
and then comes back with the following error:

Fatal server bug!
failed to add io-addr

XIO:  fatal IO error 5 (I/O error) on X server "L^A^M"
      after 0 requests (0 known processed) with 0 events remaining.

Does anybody know what is causing this?

I am also having some trouble with my Xconfig. Can someone tell
me what each of the timing parameters below, under horizontal
and vertical specify?

I am trying to run X under ISC v2.2.
