GNU emacs 18.57 and SCO Xsight

I have successfully built emacs 18.57 on SCO Unix 3.2v2.  The text
mode seems to work just fine. However when I try to use emacs from
within Xsight, the emacs client indicates that the server version is
incomptible with the emacs 18.57 X code. I believe that the Xsight
product is X11R3. I looked through the code and couldnt find any
defines for R3 versus R4...

Has anyone got emacs to work with SCO UNIX or ODT? If so please let me
know how you worked around this problem.
