The 5099EN24 is NOT a SCSI device. The 5099SC is the SCSI configuration.
To get that particular drive up and running there are a number of controllers
the cheapest is the one Everex sells with thier machine (you can get the
UNIX driver from them as well) The one I run is the Wangtek, what the heck
it's thier drive. AT&T ships a wangtek drive with a SCSI bridge controller
piggybacked onto it. I believe it was an emulux but don't quote me. Try 
asking someone in AT&T service, they may be able to help you. A good
