SLIP/PSINet

We are planning to connect to PSINet sometime during January via a SLIP
connection. I've finally gotten DEC's SLIP to stop core dumping (apparently
the sliphosts file must be perfect to prevent this).

I have also been able to get compress SLIP to work, or at least it appears to
work.

When we connect with PSInet their system provides use with an IP
address which I must feed to our end of the connection. I figure I can
modify cslip (compressed slip) to get this IP address automatically.

However, cslip requires a destination address for the other end of the SLIP
connection. We would like for the connection to function as a gateway, rather
than a point-to-point.

Has anyone tried anything like this?

Is there something I'm missing?
