I have a DECstation 3100, Ultrix 4.1 with the DECnet-Ultrix software. I am wondering why /usr/bin/tell is installed chmod 755 instead of 4755. What are the security risks of chmod'ing 4755 /usr/bin/tell? As it is, you have to type the password for the remote site even if a proxy file is set up. Tom Epperly epperly at osnome.che.wisc.edu
