Help on books about X windows

I just started learning X windows using DEC5000, somehow the programs in the 
book I am reading do not run on this machine, Would anybody please tell me
wether there is a book about X windows specially for Ultrix? Or please advise
me about the best way to learn this fantastic window. Thank you.
