Beware of Ultrix 4.1 'lpd' patch

I just learned that the 'lpd' patch (that accompanied the LAT patches
issued me from Ultrix support a couple weeks ago) is bug ridden. 
(Our clients are, generally, running Ultrix 4.1 on MicroVaxes).

Apparently, if a printer goes off line or runs out of paper and
there are jobs in the queue, the system will crash.  None of our clients
have experienced this. But the patch is no longer being distributed
by DEC and a "patch to the patch" is being worked on (and will supposedly
be available in a week).
