4.1c sendmail question

So that we can share copies of /usr/lib/aliases across machines, the alias
file on ulysses will include entries like:

	foo: ulysses!smb, ulysses!root

Sendmail doesn't seem to strip off the leading 'ulysses!' when expanding
the address; a letter sent to 'foo' by will will be delivered to me by
sendmail (even though I don't have 'metoo' set); worse yet, it will be
delivered to me courtesty of uucp -- sendmail passes the letter down to
uux, which deals with it in a reasonable fashion.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Is there some incantation I can add to
the configuration file to make it behave? Delivermail treats this case
properly, it seems.
