Wanted: Advice on buying DEUNA

We have a customer that is about to buy a couple more VAXen to go with
the three that they already have. They are planning to add a backend
Ethernet on which they'll run TCP/IP (4.2bsd). The question before us
is whether they should go ahead and order five DEUNAs with the new
systems, or whether they should go out and buy five Interlan Ethernet
boards.

We know the DEUNAs are extremely power-hungry, but the customer prefers
an all-DEC configuration if possible. I've heard that the DEUNAs are
redesigns of the Interlan boards, but I don't what the differences
are. The question I'm asking here is whether there is any performance
or reliability issue that would recommend the Interlan product over the
DEUNA.

As usual, please correspond by mail and I'll summarize if I get
anything interesting. TIA,
