XON/XOFF with Emulex SC02 on ULTRIX

Two sites, both with ULTRIX 1.2 on MicroxVAX II with Emulex SC02
multiplexers in DHV emulation (PROM Rev. L) are both suffering
lost characters when driving printers through 'lpd' using
XON/XOFF flow-control.

Anyone with similar configurations please mail me direct.

Devices being driven are DEC LA120, Diablo 630 ECS, and
C.Itoh M8510+ printers.

Characters are lost in bursts (which may be load dependent).
The effect occurs at speeds of 1200 and greater.

USING MODEM-TYPE CONTROL SIGNALS:
We are also experiencing other problems with 'ioctl' control of	
ports (0-3). The system hangs when the output is sent via
a port (14,15) with auto flow-control enabled.
